Roger Ramirez launched Oasis Surf Factory in 2005 as the first 100% hand-made surfboard manufacturing shop on Mexico's south coast — he's shaped more than a thousand boards (longboards, shortboards, fish, mini-Malibus, $580–$750 custom). Learned the craft repairing his own boards as a kid to keep riding Puerto Escondido's heavy waves; still inspects and dings-out rental boards regularly through Oasis Surf & Spanish School near Carrizalillo, minutes from Zicatela and La Punta. Pro coaching ($75/session) for advanced surfers also on offer.
